server management board
hi all
What in the world is "server managment board"
i am getting the error "server management board not found"!! when i am booting my netserver lxpro.
is it integrated to the system board?can we replace it?previously it used to give te error"eisa checksum error" so flashed the bios. after that the above said error appeard.

Hi there,
At a guess i would say it would have been part of a HP remote management package, and probably a vesa or Eisa card.
you should be able to remove it using the Eisa config disk
However i am not sure on the process involved as i have never done it.
but my surgestion is:
when you boot your Eisa disk it asks you if you have any Extended isa cards installed I would say "N" and have a look and see if it has any sub menus that would point to those sort of cards.
short of that working you could contact HP support and ask how to reset your BIOS ..
I'm sure someone else would be able to help a lot more than i have but till they post, have a go. You cant make it any worse :)
