I have a problem: during installation W2K on NetServer E60 the system hangs during the DOS part of setup. My server has a SCSI disk (on Adaptec AIC 7895 host adapter), and the system does not recognise it, so I have to add the driver by hand. I add the aic78xx.sys driver using the F6 option, after that the setup program goes further and hangs on when shows message: "Starting Windows 2000" ...
I suspect I have to add a SPECIAL driver for the SCSI adapter (because this adapter is integrated) but I could not find it anywhere. Could anybody help me? I'd be very grateful for any valuable information.
Yours Dmitry

Solutionyou only need the driver you can found on the hp site at the following URL,
note that you need also to have the last Bios version on your server , you can found it at the same urlhttp://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindexes/hpnetserve11022_swen.html
bye

Re: W2K hangs during installation on NetServer E60
But the problem is that the drivers package that is located at the URL you indicated contains only drivers for NetRAID and network card. But i dont have any RAIDs... And is it so that BIOS is necessarily to be updated? After all, Navigator CD includes W2K part, so the server BIOS must match this OS...

Re: W2K hangs during installation on NetServer E60
Are you starting the install from the Navigator CD, or just trying to start with the W2K CD? If you are not starting with the Navigator CD, try doing so and stepping through that process.
I apologize if this information is elementary.
