I'll ask the question!
On HP site http://netserver.hp.com/support/nos_matrix/retiredkmatrx.asp
It is wrote that LD PRO is C
C = Certified: Includes service packs and patches. All Certified systems are supported also.
When I bought the server the guy told me it runs win2000 smootly !
So why when I try to install the OS the system hang ? (just at the Please select the operating system to start)
It doesn't start EVEN if I choose PC-DOS mode come on !
Any advice ! Why HP tell's that LD Pro is compatible ?
It's clearly writtin !

Where exactly in boot are you hanging? Are you failing the 2000 install or do you even get to that point? Without knowing where you are failing it is hard to help you. 2000 is certified on the LD Pro so you may either have a config issue, corruption in the bios/cmos or a bad component.
I would first start with clearing the CMOS, booting to the ECU to save config, flash bios, then either format the hdd's or recreate array and initialize and then start the install. An important note.. The LDpro may be 2000 certified. The Classic Netraid is not 2000 certified. A while back someone posted a workaround at this link. http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0xc2703fd7f72ad611abd50090277a778c,00.html
Start by clearing CMOS and flashing bios however... all files you need are: http://h20004.www2.hp.com/keeper_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix50444.html
Ciao,
Greg

Re: Win2000 on LD Pro
Thanks a lot !
My problem is indeed from the netraid card ! I remove it & tried to install windows 2000 and it worked !
In fact it solve my 2 problems !
Should I try what is in this article you just sent ?
Is this reversible ?
Thanks again !

Re: Win2000 on LD Pro
It's pretty difficult to find the AMI MegaRaid 428 Bios...
Someone know where I can find this file ?
Thanks
