Re: Installation Help.
Is this during the installation of a new server?
If this is the case, create a RAID array through the smartstart setup

Re: Installation Help.
Hi Bhavnish,
The Recovery DVD is looking for either the exact logical drive layout that originally came with the Storage Server or Completely blank drives.
In the case of completely blank drives, the SmartArray 6i will default a RAID 1 logical drive on the 2 OS drives which interferes with the recovery DVD.
Reboot the system, press F8 to enter the Option ROM configuration of the SmartArray 6i. Delete the logical drives on the OS drives. Boot from the DVD.
Note: By deleting the logical drives, you will be deleting all data on those logical drives.
If you need to reboot and don't want the SmartArray defauling the RAID 1 config, press ESC or enter and exit the Option ROM.
Hope this helps,
Jon Paul
