NAS b3000 installation - Quick Restore problems
I want to restore a b3000 v2 NAS because both system disk have been replaced.
Does anyone successfully recover on blank disk using the DVD?
I have two DVD and with the first one; the recovery operation hangs at "Copying Files" (This can take up to 15 minutes.).
With the other disk, I have to boot 2-3 times to have it read by the machine.
I also tried to recover from a s4000 DVD (for Windows 2003), but it complains about missing files, and I'm not able to get through the copying files windows too.
Thanks,
Alain

Re: NAS b3000 installation - Quick Restore problems
Hi Alain,
The copying files takes longer than 15 minutes, sounds like that set of QR CDs is working just fine.
Here are some tips:
-Replacement drives should be 36 GB, U320 10K (or 15K)
-As the system boots up, press F8 to get into the Smart Array 5i RAID controller; delete any logical drives that may have been created from earlier attempts
-Ensure your QR CDs are clean
Hope this helps.
