NAS2000S Blue Screens, Array Error & Slow performance
NAS2000S w/ built in SA 5SI controlling internal 2 x 36 (U320) HD. Add-on SA 6402 Controller connected to MSA 30 w/ 14 x 36GB HD (U320). Occationaly having a blue screen error code 0x00000050, 0x000000F7, 0x0000009C and 0x000000D1. No patches or Service Packs installed. For Array Error. Error 1785 Drive array not configured. Disk I/O Read/write performance is terrible. I had ordered NAS
SR5.5 which will take 6 weeks to arrived, but as I understand this release 5.5 is needed if you will upgrade OS to SP1. I had read some threads that are having blue screens are caused by installing SP1. On the Array Error 1785 problem appears on management viewer while actually the array is configured and available only it runs so slow compared to another unit of NAS2000S. Also I wonder why there are no available diagnostics for NAS. One more question, Is SR5.5 is a must for the NAS2000S. Thanks for any suggestions and help.

Re: NAS2000S Blue Screens, Array Error & Slow performance
Edwardo,
SR5.5 is definately a highly recommended update. It also has SP1 bundled into it, so you won't need to worry about re-installing SP1. SP1 is not supported prior to SR5.4, which prevented the BSOD. Secondly, apply the set uid/gid update to the system. Does not require a reboot.
Also here are some useful NAS related links for you.

Hi Greg, Thanks for the information. I had placed an electronic mail order for SR5.5 update. Will inform you after the update.
