Server 2008 with NC6136
Hello,
we have tested a MS Server 2008 x86 install on an HP ProLiant ML370 G3.
We installed the "ProLiant Support Pack for Microsoft Windows Server 2008".
After installing the Drivers, the
NIC NC6136 was well known by the OS, but the NIC doesn't start. The error-message in the event-log was: "error 4 from N1000x8"
"HP NC6136 Gigabit Server Adapter : PROBLEM: Could not find a HP/1000 NIC. ACTION: Reinstall driver." By checking the driver with the device-manager, all looks well.
We change the NIC with another NC6136 in another Slot, but it doesn't work too.
The HP Driver for this NIC ist designed for Server 2008!
Can please any one help me with the problem? I'm completely lost now.
Thanks in advance.
