2UserDegrade bundle - what does it do/effects?
Hi,
I installed the 2UserDegrade bundle along with the HP-UX 11 Core-OS on an I70 box. Intermittently, I lose my telnet session and for a brief period applications that use TCP such as telnet and FTP are refused connections. Ping works fine. Does the 2UserDegrade bundle have anything to do with this? I don't think I wanted to install it.
Tnx,
Mike

Re: 2UserDegrade bundle - what does it do/effects?
Normally with HP-UX 11 you get a 2-user license by default. You can confirm this with the uname -i command. You dont need the 2UserDegrade bundle, simply swremove it to eliminate it from possibly being the cause of your intermittant problems.
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...

Re: 2UserDegrade bundle - what does it do/effects?
Hi Mike!
Re: 2UserDegrade HP-UX 2-User License (For degrading the user license level)
The only purpose of the 2UserDegrade bundle/fileset is to degrade the user license of a system (for example, when transferring a higher level license to a different system). This bundle contains the UserLicense.02-USER fileset. The 02-USER fileset was removed from the operating environment bundles at 10.01.
The bundle is not critical to the system so you can swremove it if you think it is causing problems for you.
