32bit to 64bit upgrade document
Hi,
The machine is HP-UX B.11.00 E 9000/888.
I am trying to find a document for 64-bit upgrade. Is this the correct one? http://docs.hp.com/en/5990-6721/index.html
Need help.

Re: 32bit to 64bit upgrade document
You can not upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit. You have to do a cold install.
Stick a cd in the cd-rom.
boot the box
interupt at the 10 second prompt on the console
sea
Figure out which random access device is the cd-rom, usually the last.
Lets say its P4
BO P4
N, do not interace
Interact with the Ignite/Install interface to proceed. 64 bit install will be offered on machines that can run the 64 bit OS.
If you are talking about upgrade/ux there are plenthy of docs on that by searching upgrade/ux on docs.hp.com

Re: 32bit to 64bit upgrade document
On HP-UX 11i you can do:
update-ux -y -s /cdrom -a 64
But I am not certain if this is possible with HP-UX11.00
Read the man page, it may help
You also need to make sure your system can run 64bit OS
