9000 server automatically reboots

We have 2 rp's that we can't halt, everytime we issue shutdown -h now the systems go down and automatically restart. The other 3 servers stay down when we do this, that is what I would expect. Where would the setting be to keep these
servers from restarting?

I saw this with a few RP7420's believe it or not it was a cell board issue that required a SE to fix.

There is no such setting in hardware. Is seems to be a hardware issue.

One thing comes to mind, if your shutdown command was aliased or pointing to a script which in turn does a reboot,i.e., shutdown -ry, regardless of what other parameters you supply to it.

Otherwise, when your system is booting, interrupt it on the first 10 seconds when you were given the option and enter "CO" command to se the configuration menu. But there is no such setting as far as I can remeber to tell the system to autoboot regarledd what user said. But you can turn of the restrat by RT OFF command to force it to wait at the menu next time you boot at the least. And if your system is not responding to that one as well, I would also suspect a hardware problem.

seems to be a hardware issue , you can check with HP , for the reason of restart, with shutdown -h ,

There is possiblilty of any script link as disscused above, check 4 the same and if not there is defenitely problem with H/W.
