A class server terminal

Hi everyone. We're in the process of rebuilding an A class server. we've got an old 700/96 green screen attached to the machine but when we open SAM we get nothing but gibberish on the screen. We've dealt with this before but the config change escapes me this morning (it's friday, been a long week) Can anyone refresh my memory on what the correct terminal config is? 11i is on the machine.

Re: A class server terminal

Resseting the terminal helps in most cases.
Switch power off and hold "d" key pressed while switching on.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: A class server terminal

You might also try "export TERM=hp" before starting SAM.

Baud Rate: 9600 Parity/Databits: None/8
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: A class server terminal

Somebody has changed the baud rate from 9600 to some other value probably - go to the GSP and do a "CA" to configure the serial ports of the GSP in your server.

Hope this helps!

Re: A class server terminal

I'm stupid. As soon as you said terminal and gibberish, I thought baudrate/parity but since you are okay up to launching SAM then if you have reset the terminal then enter "export TERM=70096" and then "sam".
