Re: about CDE
My guess is this is an hpux 11.11 system and dtfile produces a core file togehter with the error ?
If I'm correct install the relevant latest CDE patches : PHSS_25788 * PHSS_25789 together with any dependancies ..... otherwise can you run dr_dt, post contents of $HOME/.dt/errorlog,/var/dt/Xerrors do a what on /usr/dt/bin/dtfile and detail the O/S level ....

Re: about CDE
Hi,
It would be a good idea to inform what
hp-ux version you are running.
For hp-ux 10.20 this problem is solved
by installing patches for CDE and X/motif
runtime.
The latest are:
Patch PHSS_25786 :CDE:Runtime:DEC2001:Periodic:
Depends on PHSS_25446 :X/Motif:Runtime:OCT2001:Periodic:Depends on PHSS_25348 :CDE:msg:catalog:OCT2001:Periodic:
Regards
Olav
