about swinstall!

i download the software
Ignite-UX-10-20_B.4.4.30_HP-UX_B.11.00_32+64.depot
and ftp it into hp9000 D270 /opt/software
when i want to install it
#swinstall -s /opt/software

There is currently no depot software on host "node1" at location ? "/opt/software".

how can i install the software ?

Specify even the filename

#swinstall -s /opt/software/Ignite-UX-10-20_B.4.4.30_HP-UX_B.11.00_32+64.depot

You have to tell 'swinstall' what to install, at the depot file level.

# swinstall -s /opt/software/Ignite-UX-10-20_B.4.4.30_HP-UX_B.11.00_32+64.depot \*

1. swlist -l depot -d @ /opt/software/Ignite-UX-10-20_B.4.4.30_HP-UX_B.11.00_32+64.depot

2. If the cmd above lists a depot you shd be able to install it with

swinstall -s /opt/software/Ignite-UX-10-20_B.4.4.30_HP-UX_B.11.00_32+64.depot
