about the performance!
i have two hp9000 N4000 systems ,a hp workstation
a diskarry xp512 and a tape library ULTRIUM
NOW in my hp workstation ,there is omniback software that control N4000 to backup from xp512 to library ULTRIUM
but these days when the backup starts up on one N4000 system the performance of the N4000
drops so qickly
this phenomenon didn't appear before
but when backup starts up on the other N4000
it's normal

Hi,
1. Pl check your omni log files in /var/opt/omni/log.
2. Run any of the performance utility and findout which resource is giving problem? glanceplus #gpm or perfview
3. I hope all these are connected through SAN and you r taking backup after splitting the BC of XP512.
4. You mean to say that your omni cell server is giving problem...am I right??. But in this case if you take backup from other system , that will also go through this omni server only. pl give some more details.
