Re: About to Run hp-ux through vmvare product in windows machine
But you can install HP virtual machines on Integrity hardware and run HP-UX, windows and linux on it.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: About to Run hp-ux through vmvare product in windows machine
HP-UX will run on PA-RISC and IA hardware architecture only. There are HP products available like vmware on windows. Those products are vpars/integrity virtual machines. But it won't run on other hardware where you can install windows and vmware.

SolutionSo you can't run HP-UX as a VMware guest, in the same way you can't run AIX as a VMware guest.
You also can't run the SPARC version of Solaris as a VMware gues, but as Sun ported Solaris to x86, you *can* run the x86 version of Solaris in a VMware guest.
VMware is for Windows, Linux and Solaris only.

Re: About to Run hp-ux through vmvare product in windows machine
Read the release notes for VMWare taking special consideration to the chapter on supported operating systems.
And, oh, this would apply to just about everything.
