Re: Accounting ...
The process name is /usr/lib/acct/accton.
You may have some configuration issues. Check this out for useful help:

Re: Accounting ...
The /etc/rc.config.d/acct file should have an entry "START_ACCT" and should be set to 1.
Some more information here:

Re: Accounting ...
You don't need accounting daemons or processes.
You can switch on accounting
/usr/sbin/acct/accton /var/adm/pacct
Or off
/usr/sbin/acct/accton
You can check if it is on->
pacct file is growing with every new ls command.
Or it is off->
pacct file not modified with new ls commands
See the acct (1m) manpage

Re: Accounting ...
Can someone tell me how to find links to old questions/answers in "forums" ?
The search link on the left side of this page is just the general search item and doesnt relate to forums exclusively .
Thanks

Re: Accounting ...
It's nice to see that you're using the search function but you'd have much better luck starting your own, new thread. You'll be able to specify a subject that will properly identify your question, giving you better responses and you'll be able to indicate to other searchers what worked for you by assigning points to the replies.
