ACL
Hi ! I greet all participant of HP forum!
I'd like to use the ALC.
I installed on my machine /HP UX 11.0/ the new
JFS / B3929CA JFS 3.3 Filesystem For 11.0 /. It w. succesed.
I think there are some missing steps in my following procedure: /as root/
1. mkdir /d1/d2
2. cd /d1/d2
3. touch file1 and chmod 600 file1
Ther is a user tomi. I'd like that for tomi
the "file1" have to bee read and write.
Have I to give acl privileg to the /d1/d2 ??
After that : chacl 'tomi.% +r ' file1 causes
Function is not available (errno=251)
Wha do I ???
This procedure in HFS filesystem work correctly.
Thanks in adv.

Re: ACL
standard ACL's do NOT work on JFS file systems. You need to use the new JFS ACL commands, setacl and getacl, but these will only work on the JFS3.3 file systems.
My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!
