Active Active SAN
Hello ,
We are thinking of informatica new verison implimentation which has a grid option . The informatica itself has the application cluster feature for high availablity .In this case if I want to mount same file system on more than one server at same time , what products are available .
I am aware of SUN Cluster and golbal file system .
I know this file system comes with SUN cluster .
IS HP has a product , hearded about CFS (Clustered file system ) . For CFS to work is it necessary to have the MC/SG setup with CFS .
Does Veritas file system or Veritas Cluster has nay additional product to enable the same feature ?
Is there any other products availabe ?
Need your advice .
Thanks in advance ,
BL.

Re: Active Active SAN
Shalom,
The CFS filesystem from HP works with serviceguard. It works pretty much the way GFS does with Red Hat. It comes with instructions. Basically you have to set up the shared luns, format them with the new filesystem.
Veritas also has a similar product with mroe bells and whistles.

Re: Active Active SAN
We tested HP ServiceGuard with cluster file system and Veritas Cluster with cluster file system.
The features are basically the same, one of the nicest is the "fast resync" option that both provides (AFAIK, hp is based on veritas).
