Active remote port

Hi all,

I have an question about the Remote port. There are some controls and LED indicators at the front of the A400 server. How do I activiate the remote port?

Hi Alex,

Connect a console ( serial ) to the A400 and will get you in the Service processor. This can be configured ( lc )so you are able to access the console over the network.

Hi,

From your console your key is Ctrl-B. Also I provide you a complete GSP's guide. Pls find it attached.

Hi Alex,

If you want to enable the remote console, at GSP you need to give "ER"

gsp>er

this will enable the remote console port and the corresponding amber LED at the front will be lit.

Beware, this remote console is meant exclusively for HP response center engineers to login to your system. You need to connect a modem and a telephone line for the same.

If you want other users to connect via modem, you need to have mux cards installed in your system.
