I have a HP9000/800/rp7410 that has 8184 MB of memory. I need to add more. How do i know if there are open slots to add more (command)?

your current cell board has no more room for DIMMS to be added.
to add more memory you'll have to replace your current DIMMs (512M) with larger ones (1G or 2G) or get another cell board and ....
