adding non hp printer
I have been tring to add non hp printer to version 10.2.
Have been successful as I can LP a file to it, but when printing from application (business basic). formatting is not correct, often column 1 has F1 & 1 which is part of a an esc sequence. I was told that we needed to add the printer locally, so formatting would be done by the local host. How can I verify that it is installed this way. Is there a way I can apply the settings that are successfully applied to an HP printer to this device.
thanks

Re: adding non hp printer
The printer interface scripts are in the /etc/lp/interface directory. Just go there and then view (i.e. more(1) or view(1) the file which has the name of your printer. That should probably give a clue. If not, post the first 10 or so lines here or post the whole script as an attachment.
