ANNOUNCE: Opera released Opera 9 beta 1

Press release:
http://www.opera.com/pressreleases/en/2006/04/20/

Download:
http://www.opera.com/download/index.dml?ver=9.0b

FYI I'm using Opera for all my browsing. It integrates nicely with my proxy (written in perl) that modifies the ITRC pages on the fly (removing the unused white space, and translating all dates to logical format DD-MM-YY), and reloads the ITRC forum main page fully automatically on the interval I select (See Right-Click -> Reload every ...)

So, Opera 9 should be a sane choice for all you ITRC forum users!

I know you don't want comments, but any idea if a recompile for hp-ux would be practical?

I dont think Opera source code is available for public under any license. They have only for Linux, Solaris and FreeBSD. Perhaps, this may help you http://snapshot.opera.com/unix/

It is indeed not open source, and I can tell from reliable source that at the moment thee are no HP-UX plans.

Don't hesitate to push though :)

I am a fan of this brwoser and has been using it for last 6+ years. Procura, do you have a perl proxy for NTLM authentication??

Re: ANNOUNCE: Opera released Opera 9 beta 1

I *do* have a perl proxy, but that is used to

1. Remove the width limit, so my full screen is used
2. Remove the screen parts I never use (main links on the left, header with generic links)
3. Change the dates back to normal (DD-MM-YY)
4. Highlight interesting subjects (highlights on words like "perl")

on the TODO list:

a. Move the reply count column to the left
b. Add some useful links of my own

All authorization is currently done by Opera

What is NTLM?
