I am looking into UNIX security packages and hear kerbos a lot. Does anyone use kerbos in their HP environment? Does anyone know if it works OK with Service Guard? Where can I get more info on kerbos?
Thanks for your help,
jls

Solutionkerberos is part of DCE, which is a complex set of standards, protocols and software. I found one company that supports DCE - Transarc (www.transarc.com). With the backing of management it makes sense as a corporate standard.
In my organization, I am the only one interested.

Re: Anyone using kerbos?
Hi,
I have no HP systems with kerberos (yet...), but do have AIX systems using it (SP2), you might want to look at:
http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/J5849-90003/J5849-90003.html
http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/internet/index.html
And there is a chapter in the book Installing and administering Internet Services (B2355-90110) Chapter 3: Secure internet Services, with an overview of the secure environment and Kerberos v5 Protocol...
