apache 1.3.14

I'm looking for binaries of Apache 1.3.14 that will work with HP-UX 11.00. It is installed on one machine, but I don't have the bianries to add it to the other machine in the serviceguard cluster.
Does anyone have any ideas on where to look?

Re: apache 1.3.14

Hi,

Why not upgrade to a more recent version of apache ?

See:

Re: apache 1.3.14

Hi Stuart,

Apapche 1.3.14 does not seem to be available @ HP anymore.
Here's a link to 1.3.19.23 for 11.0:

Re: apache 1.3.14

Clemens,
I asked the application developer the same question. It has to do with the version of Informix we are using. There is a particular command that being used, that only works with this version of Apache.

Re: apache 1.3.14

Stuart,

Think the best you can do is download from the Apache archives - here's the link:

http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/old/

1.3.14 available in .Z & .gz formats.

Re: apache 1.3.14

Jeff,

I was there yesterday and downloaded the files. I haven't tried to install yet. I thought I would find out if there was a "no question about it - this will work on HP-UX 11.00" first.
Do you know if they had different versions of 1.3.14 dependant upon OS?

Re: apache 1.3.14

Stuart,

That would be the source files & they would need to be compiled.
I checked Apache's binaries dir for HP-UX & you may need to compile the source as that jumps from 1.3.9 - to - 1.3.17
BTW - Did you ask the vendor if they had the 1.3.14 HP binaries? Seems to me they would have had to test their code, wouldn't you think?

Good Luck

Re: apache 1.3.14

Hi Stuart,

I will look around for the Hp binaries.
I might be able to come up with them.

Re: apache 1.3.14

Clemens,

Thanks for looking. I didn't get to your first message this morning to let you know we found a copy of the source. It compiled great. Thanks again for the help.
