apache depot

I download the apache web server depot from HP and I'm trying to use SAM to install it. I went into the software management and tried to point to the depot. I've included the name of the depot and left it off, just putting the path of the directory and I get a message: "there is currently no depot software on host "TAW" at location. What is the proper steps on loading a depot sotware and why can't I see mine.

Re: apache depot

Not that SAM does not work but, SAM never works right.

first
swlist -s /path/to_apache_depot

You should get a successfull listing of apache software

To install:
swinstall -s /path/to_apache_depot

select the software
install
review logs
done

It would be easier to just have it install everything without going into the GUI:

# swinstall -s /path/to_apache_depot \*
