Apache Graphics Problem

Hi,
I installed Apache 1.3.20 on HP-UX 10.20. We are currently hosting a website on apache 1.1. On new server i am having problem with viewing .gif files. The same .gif can viewed on apache 1.1. when viewed on apache 1.3.20, graphics looks like stretched vertially.
Any clue as to what has has to modfied in httpd.conf to handle graphics?
