Auto-join cluster on boot

Can someone give me some incite into why my cluster node is not automatically joining the cluster on boot?

I have the following set

/etc/rc.config.d/cmcluster
AUTOSTART_CMCLD=1

Re: Auto-join cluster on boot

You haven't given us much to go on. What do the logs say?

/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
/etc/cmcluster//*.log

What is the output of 'cmviewcl -v'?

Can you execute cmrunnode manually?
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: Auto-join cluster on boot

Shalom,

There is data in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log or the individual logs for the cluster. There is probably an error, could be mounting logical volumes, thats pretty common.

Re: Auto-join cluster on boot

No errors, syslog states that cmrunnode -v was ran several times at system boot with no error, but an hour later cmviewcl -l showed that the node did not join. I ran cmrunnode and it joined at that time.
