AUTOPATH : no SecurePath device found
I was ioscan to print EVA 8000 disks but I still got error message.
prompt> autopath display
AUTOPATH : no SecurePath device found
That's actually RTFM problem. I first needed to discover autopath devices in order to see them by display argument. If you have similar problem try first to
prompt> autopath discover
and then display. If that does not help continue this thread after you know what helped.
ps Checking that HP AutoPath module is loaded in kernel might also be good idea.
prompt> kcmodule hpap
Module State Cause Notes
hpap loaded explicit loadable, unloadable
prompt> autopath display

Re: AUTOPATH : no SecurePath device found
Sami,
Do you have a problem seeing disks from the EVA8k?
If so, is this a new installation?
Please supply more details.

Re: AUTOPATH : no SecurePath device found
Oh you got me wrong. I solved my problem. The message is for me self in future when I'm again googling that error message and wondering how did I fix it last time. And with a little luck someone else also finds the solution useful.

Re: AUTOPATH : no SecurePath device found
I modify my hpautoinit to run 'autopath discover' as part of it's startup. That way it sees things already.
For new disks, it's always:
ioscan
insf -e
autopath discover
autopath display
It's actually kind of frustrating that they have to add more steps, not make it simpler.
