Re: Backup Policy
What I need is a kind of chekpoint, or a plan task, to create a backup policy, i know will be hard, and extensive work... I need the best pratices, solutions to make the backup usefull. In a first step will be a theoretical work.

Re: Backup Policy
Always backup your computer just before you lose your data.
That is of course in jest but it is very difficult to even suggest a plan without knowing your environment. A backup plan for a single home computer is very different from a business that is running a database that must be accurate and quickly recoverable. Questions are: how much data? how many computers? how many tape drives? how often is a full backup and a partial backup done? how to restore data? how to recover a crashed boot disk? hwre are the backup tapes stored? how often are the tapes taken offsite to a safe location?
