Backup problem
I am getting the foloowing error while taking backup
fbackup -f /dev/rmt/1m -i /home
fbackup(1004): session begins on Mon Sep 18 12:24:35 2006
fbackup(3205): WARNING: unable to read a volume header
fbackup(3024): writing volume 1 to the output file /dev/rmt/1m
We checked by chnaging tapes either. I feel this as a drive problem. Any suggestion from you gurus? Any option that make no involvement of tape replacement will be highly apreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Backup problem
I would try cleaning the device before placing the Hardware Call to HP.

Jaime.

Re: Backup problem
So, when you put a new tape, or a tape that was written with anything other than fbackup, you will get this "warning". Unfortunately, the message should be "informational". You can ignore the 3205 message.
