Re: Bad superblock: Magic number wrong

Well, this is a problem becuase it seems that this is your /stand filesystem after all. At least it was last mounted on /stand. Also, it managed to get it to sucessfully mount despite the corrupted filesystem which marks the filesystem as clean. If it truly is not clean then this could end up breaking the filesystem completely.

If you can unmount lvol3 then do so and do the "fsck -F vxfs -n -o full" again just to make sure it is a broken filesystem. Then, do the

"fsck -F vxfs -o full" as mentioned above.

Re: Bad superblock: Magic number wrong

Is lvol3 not repairable from sbtab...
Here in sbtab I only see rlvol1

Re: Bad superblock: Magic number wrong

I think we need to clarify something.

When you ran "fsadm" above, did it say that lvol3 was not a hfs filesystem?

Re: Bad superblock: Magic number wrong

yes it says that lvol3 is not a hfs and it is the /
but in the fstab is hfs, and in the mnttab is again vxfs

Re: Bad superblock: Magic number wrong

You could try changing it to vxfs in /etc/fstab and re-booting but you run the risk of making a bit of a mess of it all. I sounds like a vxfs filesystem but the odd error you are getting worries me.
