BaseVxFS

Hi all,

First of all I'm not an HPUX expert , so apologise for probably a dumb question.
I've got an rp4440 running HPUX 11.11 where the disk performances were not great compare to an "old" rp3440.

I finally discovered that the rp3440 had a BaseVxFS depot installed (BaseVxFS_B.03.50.0_HP-UX_B.11.11_64.depot), so I decided to install it on the rp4440 and the performance problem went away.

Anyone could explain me why ?
(I warned it was a dumb question)

Thanks in advance.

Re: BaseVxFS

Hi

Never heard of such a thing unless there was a patch or firmware conflict. Here's a list or requirements from Veritas Base and Online JFS for the different version of HP-UX:
