Re: bdf hang
bdf might be hung process waiting on i/o, so you can not kill it.
syslog.log and dmesg to to check other details.

Re: bdf hang
it, as there will be an underlying reason
at filesystem level.
Best to close the session.
bdf is dependent on df -k and that is dependent on filesystems availability.
What does ioscan -fnC disk do ?
Check dmesg
and the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
(just in case)
also check sar -d 5 55
Does it re-occur or is it a one off ?
Sometimes it can be that some
filesystem is to busy (see sar -d 5 55)
but eventually this bottleneck should
be freed up. Unless there is looping
process doing i/o
After this troubleshooting you will know
which direction to go.
good luck

Re: bdf hang
Check the status in ioscan result. Also, check /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log for any error messages.

Re: bdf hang
There is nothing to worry in it. I also have faced this problem atleast 2-3 times in last year or so. The very simple thing I do is
#mount -a
