Bogus error message from EMS
We are getting this error message:
Adapter at hardware path 1/8/0/0 : Fibre Channel Driver has been taken
offline due to user request
The Tachyon TL adapter was disabled due to a request from
fcmsutil.
Issue the following command to re-enable the adapter :
/opt/fcms/bin/fcmsutil enable
1. Is there a way we could check this thouroughly to make sure it is not intermittent ?
2. Any patch recommendations?
Thanks

Re: Bogus error message from EMS
Hi,
1. Now ... I'm not sure I understand the problem correctly. Did you yourself take the driver offline with fcmsutil (as EMS is suggesting) or is it going offline due to some other reason ?
2. Good patches to have :
PHKL_23939
PHSS_26798
Regards,
Tom

A life ? Cool ! Where can I download one of those from ?

Re: Bogus error message from EMS
what version of the driver are you on?
go to :
http://www.software.hp.com/cgi-bin/swdepot_parser.cgi/cgi/displayProducts.pl?group_type=search&group_name=driver+fibre+channel&search_free=1&search_trial=1&search_buy=1
and see what the latest version is for the card you are using.
Also check the cable is securely plugged in.
You may want to get the cable checked, and possibly the port at the distant end wher eth cable is plugged in to see if this is causing any issues.
