Re: Boot Failure..
This is not correct syntax to boot in single iuser mode, you need:
ISL> hpux -is

Re: Boot Failure..
You can try to boot using old kernel
ISL > hpux -lm /stand/vmunix.prev
if you have changed anything like generating new kernel or SCSI card changed etc. revert it back.
hope this help

Re: Boot Failure..
No manual changes made to system. It was running since last 1 year as standby node in MC/Service guard.
I have access to MP Prompt. Please let me know if any diag. can be done from there.

Re: Boot Failure..
If you are doing a telnet to the MP from another UX server try to make typescript as following :
script log.txt
telnet LanConsoleServerHs
(+) Take a look at the Console Log
You'll can see if there was a problem during previous shutdown and boot.
F to go to first antry
L to go to last entry
and enter key to go true next entry (be sure to go true all the pages).
Ctrl-B to Quit
(+) Take a look at the Event Log
B for current boot
T for text entry
D for Dump (Ask Y to the question)
Q to quit
Q again
X to end MP connection
Now you should be back on you other unix server.
type script again to stop the typescript
You can take a look at the result or post-it here, I'm sure someone will help you.
Hope this help
