Boot from CDROM

Hi,

I have a HP-UX 11.0 L9000 server. I want to format it and re-install the HP-UX.

first question as usual is how I can boot from the CDROM

and if you have any extra ideas, notes and suggestion can help me in the installation please send it

Hy;

Reboot, press ESC and Type SEARCH, your CD-ROM will appear to boot choice.

Finally, type BOOT P1 in P! is BOOT CD_ROM.

Faisel,

Do you know the IO path to the CD rom? Before you shutdown the server and rebuild it, do an IO scan: "ioscan -fn >/tmp/ioscan.txt". Find your cdrom, and you have the path.

THen when you reboot your server, interrupt the boot process and enter in the boot path manually.
