Boot from remote machine
Hello,
I have a C110 with no OS or CD-ROM drive. I can get upto the boot_admin> prompt.
I have a B180L preloaded with 11.00, CD-ROM drive and HP-UX OS media.
Can I boot and install the C110 from B160L CD-ROM or s/w depot on /var/spool/sw? If not what are the other options. Please give options with and w/o Ignite-UX.
Thanks for your Time

Re: Boot from remote machine
Is the CD-ROM on the B180 an internal or external?
If external you should just be able to move it from one machine to the other without any problem. I did that with a B132L and a C200 and didn't have any problems.
If the CD is internal, if you are comfortable taking the machines apart, you could move the CD from the B to the C that way.
