Boot helper system...
Hi!
I'm considering whether I should install Ignite-UX. It looks like OK software for our purposes. I would like to use make_net_recovery. We have many subnetworks in our network.
My problem is that I can't find an answer to a question, whether I should dedicate a host for running boot helper system in subnetworks. Is it possible to use existing hosts for that purpose?

Re: Boot helper system...
I don't think you need to have a dedicated machine on each subnet to act as a boot helper. An existing machine should work fine. I don't think that the boot helper function will take much away from overall performance, unless it is a really old or slow machine.

Re: Boot helper system...
Hi,
I agree with Patrick, unless you can afford it (running mono-purpose/application servers)or there is no need for dedicated machines with todays D-K-L..class...
All the best
Victor
