Boot Ignite DVD

I currently have a rx8640 server with writable internal DVD drive. Can I create a bootable Ignite image using the DVD drive supplied.

Yes. See the Ignite-UX Administration Guide's section titled "Creating a Boot CD/DVD or an Installation DVD".
