Booting ignited HPUX 11.00 on D350

I got this in /etc/rc.log :-

pdcinfo: pdc_system_info(return errors) call failed. Status is -10
pdcinfo: pdcinfo_main.c:2876

Firmware is 36.04

I've built 2 test systems before and moved the disks to our live servers. This server is built from a make_tape_recovery that I cut before moving the disks from the last build to the second server.

The rc.log on the live servers is ok. All I can think is that it's related to the firmware revision.
The live servers are at 36.20.

I don't recall seeing this error in the rc.log before moving the disks. However there was so much going on I didn't get a great deal of time to study the log.

I think you could be right service note A3332A-01 lists pdcinfo did not properly format the PIM info I'd try upgrading to rev 36.34 or later

Thanks for your help.

I guess I'll find out when I move the disks to the live server on Sunday. If it fails where the other live servers do not then I'll schedule in a firmware upgrade. I don't want to touch the test server at the moment as we can't afford to be without it should the upgrade fail. It's not under support so we won't be able to get a new backplane!
