Booting problem to Init 3
I am trying to boot the system.
But am getting the following error:
RESTRICTED RIGHTS LEGEND
Use, duplication, or disclosure by the U.S. Government is subject to
restrictions as set forth in sub-paragraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in
Technical Data and Computer Software clause in DFARS 252.227-7013.
Hewlett-Packard Company

Palo Alto, CA 94304 U.S.A.
Rights for non-DOD U.S. Government Departments and Agencies are as set
forth in FAR 52.227-19(c)(1,2).
/sbin/auto_parms: DHCP access is disabled (see /etc/auto_parms.log)
. *s1^ i
sh: grep: not found.
sh: grep: not found.
sh: netstat: not found.
Here the VG00 is getting activated, but the services are not getting loaded.
Tried to go to single user mode.
Went to
#init 2
Here all the services are getting loaded successfully.
Then when I try to go to
#init 3
Again it gets the same above error.
sundance # init 3
INIT: New run level: 3
/sbin/auto_parms: DHCP access is disabled (see /etc/auto_parms.log)
. *s1^
sundance # i
sh: netstat: not found.
sh: grep: not found.
sh: grep: not found.
The /etc/inittab and /etc/rc.config is perfect.
Tried to load the services manually by the following command:
# cd /sbin/rc3.d
# for i in S*
>do
>./$i start
>done
And everything starts fine.
Need to know what is the problem.

Re: Booting problem to Init 3
Both grep and netstat are in /usr/bin/
check for PATH in startup scripts - maybe this one is missing.

Resotored /sbin from Ignite
