Re: bootpd Client specified unacceptable option length
Hi
This error is caused when a DHCP client sends a request using option 43 where the option 43 value exceeds 80 bytes. This is unlikely to be a transient behaviour on the part of a DHCP client, so it seems unlikely that it is the cause of the failure to obtain DHCP addresses which occurred on two
occasions. It is more likely that the error report in syslog is coincidental.
This issue is been fixed by the patch PHNE_36217 - 11.11 bootpd(1M)/DHCP, tftp(1) and tftpd(1M) patch
Thanks & Regards
Ramesh

Re: bootpd Client specified unacceptable option length
We are have 4 similer servers but only 2 servers are getting this error.
How come is this a config issue?
I have check the patch in all server it is not installed on all the server.
