Cache Configuration Status

Hi Guys,

I have a SmartArray 6402 installed on HP rp-4440 with HP-UX 11.11.

I have notice that on the Array Cache Information that "Cache Configuration Status.......... write cache temporarily disabled (code=1)"

Please advice on how to enable this cache.

Marvin,

Smart Array card uses the accelerator board and batteries to provide the battery backup write cache feature. It improves the disk I/O performance. You can check the status with the HP-UX SAUTIL utility.

What is your SAUTIL report ? suspected battery got issue

I would suggest to log case to HP to investigate.
