Can i use same serviceguard cd on another server(diff ip)

hi guys,
Can i use the same service guard cd used for our producn server on another standby server.in order to configure it as single node cluster...what steps should be followed in it??

Hi Boomer,

Since ServiceGuard is not a free software, you should aware that you need to have a legal codeword to install ServiceGuard on your other server (even this one is a standby).

If you already have the legal codeword, yes ... you can install the serviceguard from the same CD that has been used for your production server.

But, my question is what's the purpose of creating a single node cluster ? Since the purpose of MC/SG is to avoid a single point of failure.

The steps is the same with the steps to configure your production system. Only on this one, you just need to configure single node.
