cannot raise RTS
hi,
I am logging into my workstation(os version 9.05), I get the following error message.
getty_rts: cannot raise RTS line. errno: 19
How can I resolve this error?

Hi,
getty processes take user informations like password and username and check them in /etc/passwd or in shadow files on trusted systems. There seems to be an error in these processes. First try to let your init- process re- read it's configuration with the following command:
init q

Hi,
Are you logging in to workstation through any terminal ?. Or do you have any modem installed in your workstation ?.
RTS - ready to send signal.
Where is your terminal connected ? serial port or mux ?. Try changing the serial port in which you connect the terminal . if it is a MUX try changing it also.
