Re: Cant modify FS Defaults

Hi Cristian:

Can you be more specific? I gather that you have created an new logical volume and a vxfs filesystem within it. Is that correct? Can you mount it? Have you added mount options for it to '/etc/fstab' and a 'mount all' fails?

Regards!

Re: Cant modify FS Defaults

ok, i have a hpux with 1 vg (vg00) and 7 lvol, only the /stand is hfs and all the rest are vxfs

now, im trying to add a new lvol (/dev/vg00/lvol8) with SAM but i cant modify the FS Defaults to use Journaled, i dont have that option, in fact when i click in "Modify FS Defaults" i get a screen with options for HFS

Re: Cant modify FS Defaults

Hi (again) Cristian:

Well, I never use SAM for LVM tasks. That aside, look at the contents of '/etc/default/fs'.

If it reads "LOCAL=hfs" then change that to "LOCAL=vxfs" and try via SAM again.

If that doesn't get you around this blockade will build the "real" way via commandline.

In the meantime, what release is this?
