CDE home session

I am having a weird issue with CDE and setting the home session.

The $HOME/.dt/errorlog complains that it cannot seem to find the host. The host is reachable, I can create a session. If I open a number of xterms to a number of different hosts I do not get messages for each one. I have even made the connection with IP addresses in lieue of hostnames.
I updated the cumulative CDE patches hopeing for a fix but non. Any tips or comments on troubleshooting this.

Re: CDE home session

Shalom Tim,

This sounds like an environment problem, perhaps with a configuration file setting the $DISPLAY variable.

Re: CDE home session

That gave me an idea.

I am using a modified $HOME/.dt/types/xclient.dt file.

I opened a session/window with HPTermRlogin ( unmodified), saved the home session, exited and logged out/restarted CDE. The session saved.

I will review my mods to xclient.dt to see what I find.

Thanks for the idea.
