CDE Text Editor backspace not working.

I have a user that cannot backspace when
in the CDE text editor. Does anyone know
what file controls this behavior?

When I login to CDE it works. I have compared
the standard dot files we use but he has
others that I am not familiar with that may
be overriding the other dot files.

Turns out it was .motifbind had
^M at end of lines and we use RefectionsX
which had to have "Backspace sends delete"
turned off.
