CDE
i have an funny problem whith cde. if i create user icons to start some programs and create a shortcut on desktop the icons will be lost after an few new logins. and when icons are lost i receive an error when i try to start the explorer or the application manager. this problem is since i replace the server! in the past there was never a problem with the old server.

Re: CDE
1) run dr_dt ammend any errors & warnings
2) where are the icons and action definition files being kept ?
3) Is NFS involved ?
4) Try running the action name from the command line using dtaction : see man page for syntax.does this work ?
5) post /var/dt/Xerrors and $HOME/.dt/errorlog & startlogs.
6) Have you made changes say per user to the dtwmp or dtwmrc files ? If so try moving these out of the way (within users $HOME) , logout and test the application manager icon, does it regain its functionality ?
