Hi,
Please help me in clarifing some issues on CDE.My query is how can we use dthello in CDE environment.I have been told that eventhough /etc/motd is present, servers are not using dthello.Please help in clarifying what is meant by dthello and how can we hardcore it with /etc/motd.

Arun,
if you do a:
man dthello
it will provide basic information.

You can add the -f /etc/motd option to dthello, which should solve your problem, unless I have mis-understood.

However could u please clarify how can I enable dthello in CDE environment and integrate it with /etc/motd

Arun,
/usr/dt/bin/dthello -file /etc/motd &
would start the CDE and display the motd file
